Successes at British Championships

A number of Wrekin Orienteers members travelled to South Wales to take part in the British Championships yesterday (February 28th) and were rewarded with some excellent results.

Pick of the bunch was Kristof Nowicki’s win in the M45 class, with a stunning run to finish over a minute faster than his nearest rival.

Two other members achieved podium positions. Mike Callow took the silver medal in the M85 class, a fine result to go with his M80 win a few years ago! Meanwhile Annie Lewis took bronze in the W12 class – way to go Annie!

The event also hosted the Welsh Championships in which Di Jacks, twice previously a winner, took an excellent bronze in the W55 class.

Kudos also to Tom Lewis for his win on the M40S course.

In today’s relays, Di Jacks, Clive Richardson and Adrian Pickles teamed up to take third place in the Ad Hoc category.

Many congratulations all!
