Springtime in Shropshire (Day 3), 29 May 2023

The third and final day of the 2023 SinS weekend – full details are on the SinS web site.

For full and authoritative information, please refer to the SinS web site.

SinS 2023 concludes with a middle distance event on Corndon Hill, which lies to the north of Bishop’s Castle. This event forms part of the UKOL.

Corndon rises to over 500m and provides spectacular panoramic views of the Marches landscape.

It provides plenty of challenges for the orienteer: complex boulder fields, craggy outcrops and scree slopes, a tricky quarried area on a slope, lightning-fast open grassland and heath, more huge boulders, slower going heather, marsh and gorse scrub.
