A challenging new urban area we have been wanting to offer you since the first COVID lockdown, and now we can! This Regional event will be included in the 2023 UK Urban League.
We invite you to an urban orienteering event on a new map by Rod Postlethwaite, centred on the Woodside area of Telford.

Venue: Assembly/Registration will be at the Madeley Court Retail Park, in the disused car park beyond the retail car park. Look out for the Wrekin Orienteers banner.

Parking: There is parking at the retail park but beware of the time limit next to KFC. There are numerous other car parks and on-street parking close by.
Starts: from 10:30 until 12:30. Courses close at 14:00
Entries and fees: enter in advance via Fabian4. Advance entries close Sunday 8 October.
Advance fees £10 adults, £5 juniors.
Limited entry on the day subject to map availability: £12 adults, £7 juniors
Timing: SportIdent (SI) electronic timing. Contactless (SIAC) will be enabled but everyone must punch (dib) the start and finish. SI cards (non-SIAC) may be hired for £1.
Courses: The following courses will be planned. Optimum distances below are subject to final controlling:
Course 1 – 10 km
Course 2 – 9 km
Course 3 – 7.9 k
Course 4 – 6.3 km
Course 5 – 4.5 km
Course 6 – 6 km
(Note: there is no “Course 7” due to the nature of the area).
You may enter any course but to be competitive in the UK Urban League, enter according to your age group as follows:
Course 1: M18/20/21/35
Course 2: M40+, W18/20/21/35
Course 3: M55+, W40+
Course 4: M65+, W55+
Course 5: M75+, W65+/75+
Course 6: M16-, W16-
Note: all courses involve use of public areas, and courses 1-6 involve road crossings.
Juniors (under 16) must be accompanied by a responsible adult if running courses 1-6.
