The club held its AGM following our Church Stretton event last Saturday (22 October), at which there were a number of changes to the committee.
Our former chair, Adrian Pickles, stepped down after serving an extended term covering the difficult period of the COVID lockdowns and their aftermath. We are deeply indebted to Adrian for his work in keeping the club functioning during this period, and for laying the foundations for the new committee to build on.
Our new Chair is Tom Lewis. We wish him all success in his tenure. Meanwhile Adrian will assume Tom’s former role as Club Captain.
Two committee members stepped down this year: Steve Parker and John Broadhead. Both have made major contributions to the club over many years and we are very grateful to them.
Joining the committee in their place are Kathryn Weaver, Maria Murphy and Richard Lewis. Kathryn and Maria are new to the club committee while Richard returns following a stint as Chair of the WMOA. We welcome all three and the mix of fresh perspectives and experience they bring.
