Earlier in May, Wrekin junior members Harriet and Grace Allinson competed in the WMOA schools championships running for the Charlton School, Wellington.
They competed in a well supported year class, Year 9/10 Girls, against schools from all across the region.
The competition was held in Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham, and the girls course was 3.6km long.
Harriet was the winner in just over 29 minutes, closely followed by Olivia Stamp from WCH Stafford, and Grace third on 31 minutes. The top three had a gap of some 6 minutes before the 4th placed runner.
