A local event, ideal for beginners and newcomers to the club

Flexible sprints – there will be three courses, each about 2.5km, and you can run one, two or all three.

Venue: Sundorne Sports Village,
SY1 4RQ

We will be at the back of the main building – just walk through and you will find us on the terrace.

Entries and fees: Email Clive to book a map and pay on the day please – £5 adults, kids free.

richardsonclive3@gmail.com

We may have a card payment machine but please bring cash just in case.

Times: Registration and starts open from 10am. Courses close at 2pm.

How it works: Punch the Start when you start the first course. At the end of it, either punch the finish and stop, or drop your map in the tray and pick up a map for the second course, not punching the Finish or Start. Same at the end of the second course – you can punch the Finish and stop or move on to the third without punching the Finish or Start. At the end of the third course, that’s your lot – you will have to punch the Finish and stop!

If you think you will (or might) run all three courses, you will need a dibber that can hold all the punches. If you’re not sure, check with us – we will have some available to loan at the event.

Medical information

If you wish any medical information to be available to a practitioner in the event of an emergency, please fill in the British Orienteering medical information form, place it in a sealed envelope with your name on it, and deposit it at Enquiries. It will not be opened unless we have reason to believe you may have suffered a medical emergency and will be shredded after the event if you don’t collect it.
